Making fun art is my thing. Letting kids get messy is my thing. Seeing where their imagination leads them is my other thing. I love my job!!!

My first student art show was 2009. Whoa!!! I know I don't post as much here, but I'm still doing it. Still loving it. We have 4 full classes every week and are about to start summer camps at Flowerstone! has all the details. Send me your creative young ones. I will make them happy campers. 😁

And the apple heads are finished! Such a great project. Everyone's creativity really shines! They keep me going all class long with "Do you have...?" And those tiny sombreros we got for paper machete cacti last year really were fun to use up!

It's time for spooky art projects again! Flowerstone art students love making shrunken apple heads. My oven will be full of apples for a week!

I discovered an artist here on IG and had to use her as an art lesson prompt for my kids class this week. uses her non dominant hand to create whimsical portraits. She draws them over lovely splashes of color. There is so much life to her portraits. I love projects that allow the kids to let go of perfectionism. In these portraits eyes can be different sizes... Lines can be a little wonky. In fact, they SHOULD be!!! Please look at her work. I'm a fan.

Did you hear Flowerstone is having a Birthday Party? My store is 1 year old!!! Please come celebrate with me tomorrow night.
