๐Ÿ–Œ Affecting Nature, 2023
The largest painting on wood panel that I have completed thus far. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I must say there was a tremendous amount of back and forth and a multitude of layers applied to this piece. Particularly I aimed for a more impressionist style within the boundaries of the lush mountains and coastline. The shapes ๐ŸŸฆ toward the right side represent manmade objects, the essence of tremulous over-thinking, eating itโ€™s way through nature and inner peace. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ
Since this a wood panel, I even took the time to paint the backside ๐Ÿคฏ (yes nobody else does thisโ€ฆ I think?). But I cannot live with myself knowing that a portion of this object would remain unpainted. Satin varnish was applied to the painting (frontside), and matte varnish was applied to the edges and backside. Enjoy. โœจ
โ€œBrushstrokes dance with emotion, colors whisper the language of the soul, and the abstract landscape becomes a testament to the profound dialogue between art and the untamed spirit of the natural world.โ€

Preparing for individual photoshoots for each painting in anticipation of the upcoming Project Infinity online store. ๐Ÿ“ธ These photoshoots are all about capturing clean product shots for the new website. I am excited to launch this store through Shopify, and Iโ€™ll be selling all paintings, resin coasters, and mini paintings. There are many pictures to take and mechanics to finalize. My goal is to have it launched and ready before the yearโ€™s end. ๐Ÿ’ซ

At times it is necessary to take extended breaks โ€”even from our most cherished activities. Frequent pastimes can become stale and repetitive, leaving you with this nagging feeling for change. ๐Ÿค” Embracing change undeniably poses its challenges. Sometimes we need to focus on other areas in life and give it our 100% before we can return to our true callings and passions in life. Give it your all and 100% attention, one aspect at a time. Pause, and contemplate the broader perspective. Apply balance โš–๏ธ when necessary.
My return from the 2-month hiatus from painting has caused me to feel more motivated and inspired. ๐Ÿ’ฏ I hesitate to call it a "break" because I wasn't on vacation by any means. Instead, I needed to take a step back to refresh my mind and redirect my focus to other aspects of life. Now I feel great and am excited to continue my artistic pursuits. See you there! ๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐ŸŽจโ™พ๏ธโœจ

A bit of a sneak speak ๐Ÿ‘€ into some prototyping Iโ€™ve started for the first versions of my โ€œsignature styleโ€ resin coasters. Iโ€™m experimenting with 4 different build types. Some or none of them will successfully cure. The focal point of these coasters will contain a super-mini variation of my paintings. As you can see there are plenty of 4x4 and 3x3 inch wooden boards to experiment with. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ah, the artist's workspace. ๐Ÿ–Œ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–Œ It's difficult to quantify the countless hours we devote within these creative confines. โณ
Hours go by and we hope the next project is an improvement in some way over the last. At times, it's necessary to pause, reassess, and restructure our methods to ensure continued progress. ๐Ÿง
Dear fellow artists, how do you feel about your workspace / studio? Does it feel perfect to you? Would you change anything about it? Letโ€™s discuss. ๐Ÿ’ฌ
