Inland Regional Youth Theatre

Inland Regional Youth Theatre IRYT was founded in 2014 and provides students in the Inland Empire with performing opportunities. Our final show was May 2nd- May 4th, 2025.

Thank you for supporting our students. IRYT provides performing opportunities in the Inland Empire for students from 7-20 years. Our students participate in our arts community from cities from throughout the Inland Empire: Riverside, Corona, Norco, Mira Loma, Moreno Valley, Perris, Grand Terrace, Colton, Redlands, Highland, and Rancho Cucamonga. Rehearsals are centrally based in Riverside with per

formances throughout the Inland Empire region. Our Creative Team of Educators have extensive professional theatrical credits and over 70 years of combined teaching experiences.

Well this is the first of many posts you will see as I have so many people to thank. I want to take this opportunity to thank the current and past board members: Roger Derilo , Roberta Derilo, Dwayne Morris, Jeannie Campbell, Julie Morris, Sara E. Allen, Maria Arevalo, and Lori Reese. There is no way this company could have lasted this long without your unwavering support. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have you all with me on this journey. You all brought something special to this company and you all were a special part of touching the lives of so many kids. Your impact will never be forgotten and there aren't enough words to express my sincere appreciation and love for you all.

Our 2nd run-through with the Down Below cast last night was fantastic! It's also the last day of rehearsal at this place we call home for the past 10 years! Bittersweet moment as we say goodbye and ready ourselves for the next adventure. Next week we move in to the theatre and enter tech week! When we set out on this journey 10 years ago, we had a goal to create a special theater opportunity for kids. A place they could call home and feel comfortable expressing themselves. A place where they could feel safe. A place where everyone was offered a role, regardless of ability. At the time we opened this company we saw a need for such a place. I truly believe we have accomplished our goal.

Now, 10 years and 21 shows later we have seen how this company has improved the lives of the kids in our community. We are also so happy that there are so many opportunities for kids to express themselves.

Therefore, after a very long reflection, myself and the Board of Directors of IRYT have decided that it is time to step away and close IRYT.

As I said, we feel that we have accomplished what we set out to do. We want to thank every performer, parent, and family member who trusted us. We also want to thank all of the Artistic Directors, Music Directors, Choreographers, Tech, Crew and other volunteers who have made up our various production teams over the years. We appreciate the love and support you all have given us over the last 10 years. We love you all, and can’t wait to continue to support all our wonderful performers in all their future endeavors.
