Apparently, Just Stamp is a day late celebrating International Dog Day.

Fergus would like the record to show that it was clearly highlighted in the 365 Reasons to Send a Handmade Card staff planner. He reminded Mum with the ears, the eyes and one very meaningful nose nudge—but she was probably distracted by the busy prep for the Hot Foil Intro class. Again.

As a valued member of the Just Stamp staff, Fergus believes every day is Dog Day. Yesterday simply came with better publicity. 🐾

☕ Coffee in the Classroom: Remember that Witchy Whimsy Hat I was working on? Finished!

And yes, I KNOW. It’s supposed to be a Halloween décor piece.

But after adding all those black cats, spiders, webs, flowers, rosettes and wonderfully wispy layers, there was really only one reasonable thing left to do…

For the record: Stampin’ Up! does not advertise the Witchy Whimsy Hat Kit as fashionable headwear. That little bit of creative interpretation is all mine.

As décor, though? So stinkin’ cute! And because I made it myself, this is one of those pieces I’ll enjoy pulling out again every Halloween.

☕ Coffee in the Classroom: A Little Witchcraft

I’ve opened up the new Witchy Whimsy Hat Kit, and right now my table is covered with cats, spiders, webs, flowers, ribbon and all sorts of wonderfully witchy bits and pieces.

And THIS is exactly why I enjoy a good kit.

Everything I need is right here—including the paint, dauber, pins, wire and adhesive—so I get to skip the gathering-and-hunting part and go straight to the fun part: making.

The finished project is a Halloween décor piece rather than a card, and I’m loving watching all those layers turn this plain black witch’s hat into something spooky, stylish and just plain cute.

At least…I think it’s supposed to be décor. 😏
