Join UCR Orchestra and UCR Wind Ensemble for their opening concert of the season. The Orchestra will play Copland's wonderful Outdoor Overture, a gorgeous prelude by Vaughan Williams, and Bizet's music from his tuneful, racy Carmen, the most popular of all operas. The Wind Ensemble celebrates Music from Video Games -- from sweeping orchestral epics to catchy 8-bit throwbacks, showcasing high-energy soundtracks, nostalgia, and adventure. Conducted by Ruth Charloff, Armando Duenas, and student conductor Christopher Shimoon.

Join the UCR Orchestra and Wind Ensemble at our annual Fall Concert -- take a moment's breather for some great music!

Wed., Nov. 20 at 8pm at University Theatre
Doors open 7:30pm

The Orchestra's music ranges from intimate and witty to richly romantic, with works by Benjamin Britten, American composer Gian Carlo Menotti, and Antonin Dvorak.

The Wind Ensemble will feature great music from film, including West Side Story, The Polar Express, and Star Wars, showcasing Student Director Sarah Howick and the conducting debut of Christopher Shimoon.

This weekend, a home-grown orchestra concert for families
UCR faculty member Tim Labor has developed a concert based on 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'
Concerts will be 8 p.m., Saturday Saturday, April 20, and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 21 in the University Theatre. The concert is free and open to the public.
