Did you know burmese pythons are carnivores that mainly eat small mammals and birds? Even with poor eyesight, they hunt using chemical receptors in their tongues and heat-sensing pits along their jaws.

They kill by constriction, wrapping their powerful bodies around prey until it suffocates. Thanks to flexible jaw ligaments, they can swallow animals whole, even prey much larger than their heads. 🐍
