Today I present to everyone a card from the Tarot Box (Juliet Sharman-Burke): The Star.

This card in particular is full of visual metaphors: the naked truth, renewal of the earth, and rising to a higher being (a hard one, I know—it’s the ibis, the bird that represents this). Stars were used in early human history to record time, and to find out way home when out at sea. As for this card, it denotes, hope and a sense of direction, purpose. Everything will be okay, more than okay, you’ll find your way home.

Personally, I don’t like to say there are “bad” cards or even “good” cards. Some may carry a more positive connotation than others but as far as I feel, most cards are pretty neutral.

Today’s card is the Eight of Cups from the Wild Unknown Tarot by Kim Krans. When it shows up in a reading, it suggests that there isn’t room for growth or any positive notion in your current place. It’s best to move on.
