Master Class- Vocal Audition! This will be in Kennett lead by Clint Williams! Limited slots! Ages 11-18. In this Master Class -Vocal Audition you will work with professionals in the industry! Work to prepare for your next successful vocal audition. From building a repertoire of songs; selecting the best audition cut, acting through your song, and fine tuning your audition, actors will feel prepared to take the theatre world or audition room by storm. Ages 11-18. Wednesday, June 3rd from 6-9pm.
In this Master Class, actors will:
Learn audition etiquette and receive personal feedback from working industry professionals.
Receive personalized coaching through song.
Refine vocal technique and work on their audition song.
Learn to audition with an accompanist.
Performers should bring an audition cut(must be sheet music).
Clint Williams currently teaches at Sanford School in Hockessin, Delaware, where he has been directing choirs, teaching theater, and producing and music directing shows for the last twenty years. Past-President of the Delaware Music Educators Association and Delaware American Choral Directors Association, he recently concluded a long tenure as All-State Coordinator for DMEA, overseeing all All-State Ensembles in the state of Delaware. Last year, Clint was awarded the Delaware Music Teacher of the Year award. Clint is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music. Before teaching at Sanford, Clint spent a decade performing as a professional singer in many operas and oratorios. Among his honors are second place in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Clint has music directed over fifty shows in the tri-state region at both community theater and professional theater venues.
Jack Krukiel is a music teacher at Salesianum School in Wilmington and accompanies the Brandywiners Chorale in the spring. Recent music directing credits include Sound of Music, Assassins, and Bonnie & Clyde. In his (limited) free time, he is a constant album-listener and book-reader.
