What a difference a few weeks can make! ☀️

This morning, it’s a beautiful 66° in Ripley — but we haven’t forgotten the dedicated artisans and vendors who showed up for you on July 4 when temperatures reached 96°! They braved the summer heat, shared their talents, demonstrated their crafts, and helped make the Mountain State Art and Craft Fair a wonderful celebration of Appalachian creativity.

** UPDATE: Because of extensive rain and even more downpours forecast for the coming days, we have canceled our Outdoor Quilt Show. This WAS the rain date, so we’ve decided to push the event to 2027. We plan to stay busy creating beautiful, colorful, and unique modern quilts for next year’s show. Stay tuned for details! Thank you so much for your understanding! 🧵

🏡🚜 Our neighbors at Green's Equipment Group are hosting Ripley Hay Day, and we think it's something our community won't want to miss!

Join them on August 27 & 28 for a FREE, hands-on event where you can meet representatives from New Holland, Krone, and Massey Ferguson, watch live equipment demonstrations, and even drive the tractors and try the attachments yourself—whether you're an experienced operator or it's your very first time.

There will be FREE food and drinks, expert advice, special event discounts, and plenty of opportunities to learn in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Here’s to the ladies from Cedar Lakes who stood over an outdoor kettle, with the fire burning and temperatures hovering around 90 degrees, stirring up this delicious taste of West Virginia. ❤️
