Trilogy Residents and Guests: Why come see "The Cemetery Club" performed by Trilogy Theater Group this month.? To quote some of our actors who are eager to share it with you: "The Cemetery Club has special appeal. I know these three women. They live right here in our community. This play has particular relevance to our audience.” and "a poignant, penetrating, heartfelt play that will touch you to the core." They wanted to be in it because the characters are interesting and fun, the dialog & relationships relevant and relatable. Yes, there may be tears but also plenty of laughter and some of the sweetest, most endearing moments you'll find on stage.

Tickets are going on sale this week for Trilogy Theater Group's Fall Production of "The Cemetery Club" by Ivan Menchell. October 21-23 at 6pm and Oct 24-25 at 2pm in the Diablo Ballroom.

Warm, relatable, often funny, sometimes poignant, this story is about 3 close friends who have each been widowed in the past four years and are approaching "what comes next?" in very different ways. When a widower enters the picture, the question heats up. Laughing, teasing, sharing, or disagreeing together, they reach a resolution that is life-changing for each of them. A sweet and thoughtful play directed by veteran Kevin Kennedy.
Open to Trilogy Residents and their guests from outside of Trilogy.

Directed by Kevin Kennedy. When? Monday, August 3rd from 11:00am-1pm OR Tuesday, August 4th from 6:30-8:30pm, both in Multipurpose Room, Vista Club, Trilogy. Cold reading from Script. Open to Trilogy Residents. Performances go up October 21-25, 2026. Rehearsals begin August 17th.
Life. Loss. Love. Laughs. 3 "later in life" widows meet regularly to visit their spouses in the cemetery, share memories, and face challenges for "what's next?" in their lives. Whether with gusto, trepidation, or openness to new possibilities, they take the next steps together, especially when a charming widower enters their world.

"Frederick Douglass: 'I Was Born A Slave'" closed yesterday at the Campbell Theater in Martinez after a successful run.
So proud of and grateful to this wonderful cast (plus Michael Johnson who portrayed Mr.Douglass on June 5th).
A number of members of TTG performed in this show which was also directed and produced by members of TTG.

TTG's production of "A Night in the Theater" opened last night, showcasing the talents of Melanie Ulricksen, PJ (Patricia) Jones, Jim Hale and Gary Soals of Trilogy The opening night audience was highly receptive and definitely enjoyed this relatable show.
Four more performances await new audiences. Come join us.
Thursday through Saturday 6:30pm in the Diablo Ballroom of the Vista Club off Summerset Drive. Sunday matinee begins at 2pm.
Plan about 90 minutes; there is a 15 minute intermission. $15 per person. Open to Trilogy residents and their guests (from wherever!).

Performance opportunity in recognition of Juneteenth. Runnjing June 5 - June 21 at the Campbell Theater in Martinez (Th-Sun most wks) . Put on by OnStage Repertory Theater, produced by Gwen Sampson Brown and directed by Kevin Kennedy and Carol Foote of TTG. (Read below for opportunity)

The show: "Frederick Douglass: "I Was Born a Slave", a Narrative of his Passage to Freedom" A Staged Reading (performed with scripts but not static).
Rehearsals begin in May. Original adaptation for the Stage of the Auto-Biographies and Speeches of Frederick Douglass, focussing on his early life, escape to freedom, and his legacy.

We still need to CAST THE ROLE OF THE STATESMAN/ORATOR FREDERICK DOUGLASS. Looking for a black gentleman with a resonant, strong voice who can create a commanding presence. (And is available evenings for rehearsals and performance..note Sundays are 2:30pm matinees) There are other cast members from Trilogy so carpooling to rehearsals in Concord and Martinez is an option from Rio Vista.
