🌻🚒 Day 1 of Summer Camp Session 2! 🚒🌻

We welcomed 50 new students today and kicked off the week with some amazing community partners!

A huge thank you to Rio Rico Fire for joining us. Engineer Redman taught our students all about the fire truck, the important work firefighters do, and even helped us cool off with a refreshing water spray that our students (and plants!) absolutely loved! 💦🌱

We were also honored to welcome the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona team, who traveled from Tucson to Rio Rico to visit our campers and families. They learned about our ranch, our educational programs, and the fruits, vegetables, and plants we grow while supporting our community.

To continue the learning at home, every student received a copy of Maritza Higuera’s bilingual best-selling book, Fire Heroes. 📚❤️

What a wonderful way to begin Session 2! We are excited for a week full of learning, nature, friendship, and hands-on experiences at M&M Family Orchard. Thank you to all of our volunteers, partners, and supporters for making these opportunities possible for our students! 🌻💚✨

As a mom, teacher, and lover of the outdoors, there is nothing more rewarding than watching my children and the children of our community learn, grow, and connect together. 💚🌻

This is how we started five years ago, with a simple dream of bringing families together, creating opportunities for hands-on learning, and building a stronger community. Today, that dream continues to grow because of the amazing neighbors, volunteers, partners, and friendships that have become part of our journey.

We are ready to welcome all of our amazing students from across our community to another exciting summer at M&M Family Orchard Educational Ranch!

Our FREE Summer Camp is officially FULL! 🎉 This year we will welcome 50 students during our first week and another 50 students during our third week of June. We are incredibly grateful to our amazing partners, sponsors, volunteers, and community collaborations that make this opportunity possible year after year.

Because of your support, 100 children will have the opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences, explore the outdoors, make new friends, enjoy healthy meals and snacks, and discover the importance of caring for our water, plants, animals, and community.

We are so excited to begin on Monday with our SECOND group of campers! 💛

Hello M&M Family Orchard Summer Camp Families!

We are SO excited to welcome your children to our FREE Summer Camp at M&M Family Orchard Educational Ranch! For the 5th year in a row, thanks to amazing supporters, volunteers, and community partners, we are able to continue providing fun, educational, and hands-on experiences for our community children.

📍 Camp Hours: Monday–Thursday | 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM

🚗 IMPORTANT PARKING & SAFETY REMINDERS:
• Please park ONLY in our designated parking lot area.
• NO CARS should be parked on the street to help keep all children safe.
• Parents/guardians MUST sign children in and out every day.
• Camp instructions and guidelines were also included in the registration forms.

👟 Please Remember to Bring:
• Closed-toe shoes
• A water bottle
• Comfortable outdoor clothing

🌻 During camp, children will enjoy:
• Hands-on groundwater and water conservation activities using University of Arizona curriculum
• Learning about taking care of water, plants, and animals
• Planting, watering, and outdoor exploration
• Reading and storytelling workshops with bilingual children's author Maritza Higuera
• Workshops featuring lavender, nopales, crafts, and nature-based learning
• Opportunities to make friends while learning through hands-on activities

🍎 Breakfast and snacks will be provided daily thanks to the amazing SCV35 summer food delivery program.

🙏 A special thank you to our incredible volunteers, including teachers, firefighters, and community leaders who are helping make this camp a success.

Our first session of Summer Camp is officially over, and we received the sweetest surprise! 💚🎂

A huge thank you to Algo Bello Cakes and Lupita for this beautiful and delicious treat. We know it took time, love, and thoughtfulness, and we are truly grateful.

We never expect anything in return for what we do, but gestures like this remind us how blessed we are to be surrounded by such an amazing community.
