While I am recuperating from my surgery, we are going through over 4k of autographs, repriceing, affixing certification stickers and making mystery autograph packets. What I thought would be a weekend job, we are on our 5th day and maybe 1/4 finished. Alot of them haven't seen the of light for at least 20 years. The 4 drawer filing cabinet was in my basement for 10 years, when we moved to New Mexico, TK helping, just happen to look inside the Star Wars drawer, go figure. I heard him keep saying, OMG, OMG, OMG, I had 10 Carrie Fishers, a few Mark Hamill, kenny Baker, Jeremy Buloch, Dave Prowse, and at least 100 more star wars some of which have left us. Alot from Cellebration II, the only Cellebration I was an exhibitor. Thats just in one drawer. I have 2 drawers of Star Trek all 5 series and movies. 1 drawer of B5, BSG, Xena, 1 drawer of X files, Doctor Who, Eureka, Farscape Vampire Diaries, Walking Dead, and Twilight. Needless to say I am going turn these into revenue offering great prices and mystery packets, $25 box at the shows.

And the Christmas decorations begin. This year is Animation, 260 ornaments on the tree. Every other year we swap between SciFi and Animation. I will send pictures of the progress.

I want to share my experience at Buc-ees this week. I have been to 21 different Buc-ees stations, there are 53 now 6 more to come in the next couple years. When we do a Texas event we stop at the Buc-ees in Amarillo or the one on the 114 outside Dallas. On the first visit we picked up items to have at the show and a couple more insulated mugs, $110.00 spent. When we approached the check out we were asked anything in the mugs, Tige stated hot water in the 24 oz white logo mug, we were charged $1.19 for a refill, WHAT for hot water? Just the two mugs alone are $45.00. I thought how petty is that. I guess they charge for the power to heat the water.

On the way home we stopped in the Amarillo store. I had sent out text to my fellow team members if they want anything, I usually buy Buc-ees unique flavored chips you can't find in regular stores. My boss wanted some jerky and a baseball hat. I sent the many choices, like 20+ styles. He didn't get back to me so I took a guess. On the way to the van my boss replied what he wanted, not the one I had chosen. I went back in the store 5 mins later to exchange it. Went back to the checker who took care of me. i went and got the replacement hat both are the same price. I was informed company policy they do not exchange, only for the same item, WHAT!
I asked for a manager, again stated the policy. The only reason I can think of is a defective item. In my case they are both hats, the same price. Its not like exchanging for a blanket. I asked where is this stated, not on the receipt, not on the doors, no where in the store is it posted they do not exchange (exceptfor the same item), all sales are final, no refunds. Needless to say, this will be the last time I go to Buc-ees. I will send a complaint to corporate, if they make some apologies I may reconsider.

Finally day Irving Dallas Fan Festival. I reluctant to say this is the slowest of all our past Fan Festivals. This has been a trend this year. I believe the atmosphere these day's is uncertain due to all the current economic and political environment status. However, it was nice to our customers who only come to this even, they don't like the crowds at FanExpo Dallas.

Our next planned show is FanExpo Portland January 16th to 18th 2026.

Hello Irving, Dallas Fan Festival. A relatively a small show for us, last minute invite, NO STRESS. we were set up on first day. No plaques at this show. I had a rare opportunity to walkabout and see the fan clubs rooms. Tomorrow is Trick or Treating day, we are decorated in Halloween. We are in booth 219 on the main aisle.
