I haven’t had much time for crafting….but I wanted to make this sign for the front of our house since we are putting new siding on it. I am doing wood on the porch and front of the garage and i thought this wood would pull it all together I bought the metal PARKER sign several years ago and decided to repaint it and mount it to some walnut and blue epoxy. Even though I had several mishaps (my mold leaked the epoxy all over the garage floor, and stuck to the back 😳🤦‍♀️), it turned out pretty cool. It’s 3 feet around and 2” thick…I think Jim got a hernia hanging it up on the house😂😂

Happy thanksgiving! I finally finished this mermaid diorama. I called it “Mermaid Playground.” It was the most challenging project that I’ve attempted so far. I had to figure out how to install lights and camouflage them, poured several layers resin and placing items, working from the back to the front. I had to hang the fish on fish line in order to make them appear to swim around the mermaid. Then I’m learning wood work and using a router….a lot of learning and trying my patience lol! I’m also working on two wall clocks right now which is what I think I am going to mainly do. There are so many options and they didn’t take me a month to finish. I’m thinking of doing an Etsy shop and making my work available there. 🤷‍♀️. We’ll see.

I had a few non-epoxy related projects over the past few months that I thought I would share. I found the whimsical frog driving the race car many years ago when I was at a yard sale with my dad, but I never did anything with it until this year. It’s special to me because it reminds me of being with him. The coffee table type piece I found on Facebook marketplace for 20 bucks and thought that it would make a neat stand with some modifications. 😊

I liked the other wood epoxy clock so much that I decided to make one for myself! There were a lot of new challenges but I think that it came out good. :) I also loaded the tutorial on YouTube https://youtu.be/zdRVtoE8Zbc. I think that my next project will get away from clocks for awhile and back to my imaginary mermaid worlds. I enjoy creating scenes and I have some ideas that I want to try. I'll be posting soon!!!

Well, as I said in the previous video, I wanted to make a bee clock out of some honeycomb coasters and a clock mold that I got off of Temu. I didn’t really think it out when I got the idea lol. I intended on doing a tutorial, but this turned into so many do overs that I was ready to give up. Let’s just say I will not be painting bugs again anytime soon. 🤦‍♀️. I have also been working on another black epoxy and wood clock that will have a full tutorial that I will load to my YouTube page. I will post on here once the tutorial is ready. 🐝 😊

I just finished up this mermaid clock and plan to give it to my sister-in-law Kim Walker who loves mermaids (SURPRISE Kim!). Happy retirement! ☺️ An even bigger accomplishment was making a tutorial video for this clock! I've never done any type of editing but I think that it turned out pretty good. I'll be posting it here for my fellow resin artists. Lets see what I get into next???!

I just finished up this 20 inch wall clock. I ordered a Temu silicone mold that was actually for a small table top. I used an epoxy off of Amazon that I never used and had a flash cure for some reason, but managed to save it. Lots of learning experiences, but over all it turned out good. 😊I am currently working on a tutorial for another clock and will be doing future tutorials on stuff that I make so follow my page, I always try and do unique items!

My cousin gave me some cigar boxes that she didn’t want and I came up with an idea to make her a trinket/ ring box. She likes sunflowers and dragonflies so that was what I put on top. Inside I lined the lid with dried flowers and made the wording on my Cricut. The fish pond was made by pouring several thin layers of epoxy (and bailing out the epoxy that leaked through the rocks lol). I found the hinges, legs and front latch on Amazon. They were gold so I sprayed them silver and rubbed black glaze over them. Now it’s time to think up my next therapy project lol. 😊

This is the first clock that I’ve ever made and it’s special to me because it’s for my brother’s cancer benefit. (My mom loved clocks, wish she could see it!). I’m happy with the way that it turned out and wanted to share.😬
The rest of this post is for my fellow artists who follow me…..There were alot of firsts with this….i found the round 22”disc at Hobby Lobby (they come in 3 sizes). I used epoxy/spray paint/alcohol to get the sky effect. The ferns are IOD furniture transfers and the dragonflies are transfers from Amazon that I enhanced using acrylic ink. The numbers are 2 1/2” and were cut on my cricut (I found 2 1/2” on Etsy but they wouldn’t be here in time for the benefit). If you have any questions, please ask, I love sharing ideas! 😊
