Skylands Music Academy is thrilled to welcome Lisa Fritzky as the new director of our Children's Choir for grades 1–3! 🌟🎶 A lifelong resident of Ringwood, Lisa has been immersed in music from an early age. She began studying violin at five, and participated in the Ridgewood Youth Orchestra. Along the way, she discovered a love of singing and performing in musicals and choirs.

She continued her musical studies at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she studied classical voice and earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. For more than 20 years, she has shared her passion as an elementary school music teacher in the Ringwood Public Schools.

As a longtime educator and musician with deep roots in the Ringwood community, Lisa is looking forward to continuing to inspire young musicians as our Children’s Choir Director for the upcoming season. She is honored to help foster a love of music and create meaningful musical opportunities for children in the community she has called home throughout her life. Lisa will also be singing with the Skylands Chorale and serving on our Advisory Board.

🎼 Hymn for America 🇺🇸

We have loved you for your rivers,
We have loved you for your shores,
Ev’ry treasure you have shown us,
Ev’ry seed that you have sown;

We have loved you for your mountains,
For your prairies, for your fields,
ll these gifts we have been given,
All these glories that we share;
Now we thank you for these blessings
We, your people, ev’rywhere.

Our Skylands Chorale was honored to be a part of Ringwood’s Memorial Day ceremony! 🇺🇸 Thanks to Ringwood Deputy Mayor Michelle Kerr for the invitation and congratulations on organizing a wonderful community event! ❤️

I had a vision four years ago to make Ringwood’s Annual Memorial Ceremony bigger with more community involvement as well as an educational opportunity for our youth. 🇺🇸🎶

It took me a few years to build, but this year really felt like my vision became a reality. Thank you to all the veterans and active military in attendance, Skylands Music, Rev. Arlene from the Community Presbyterian Church of Ringwood, Ryerson’s Middle School Band lead by the talented Mrs. Sulich, Councilwoman Echols for reading the proclamation, Troy on the bagpipes, the Boy Scouts, and Cub Scouts. 🎺🎼

May God Bless our fallen heroes who’ve paid the ultimate sacrifice. Tonight we honored you.🪖🎖️
