I’ve been digitizing a picture of my grandmother, Alice Haar. I think this would’ve been taken when she was in her 20s? She was born in 1904 and married my grandfather in 1925.

Since I had the Beast set up anyway, I decided to go ahead and embroider what I have so far. I learned that I have much more to learn about digitizing while sewing out this rough draft. The Beast didn’t like this one — it kept stopping and telling me to check the upper and bobbin threads. It has run almost perfectly for the past two days, so I am sure the problem is actually with the design.

I’m probably going to start over again, but it was fun to see how it turned out.
