Please join me for my debut 3-D art exhibition! Many of my friends know I paint but very few know that I’ve expanded into metal and ceramic sculpture. I’m excited to share that I have a solo exhibition at the Gilchrist Museum and Gallery in Cumberland! Come see my paintings as well as my steel, copper, ceramic and glass sculptures. Opening reception is Saturday October 12 from 5:00-7:00pm. I will also be on site at the Gilchrist during the Western Maryland Artist Studio Tour on October 19 and 20 (11:00-5:00 both days). Drop in and see me. 🙂.

My Watercolor "Special Topics" course starts on Wednesday, Sept 14 at Allegany College of Maryland (Continuing Education building). The class is designed for those who have minimal watercolor experience who would like to improve their skills or jump-start their creativity. Each class session will focus on a particular topic or technique. The students will help choose the topics that will be covered. Potential topics include techniques for painting trees, skies, shadows, "lost and found" edges, color mixing, glazing, texture techniques, composition, and creating an interesting painting from a not-so-interesting photograph.

Repeat students welcome, as are true beginners. The class will be an informal and friendly atmosphere in order to enhance the painting experience.
