ChirpCT CHIRP is a series of free Tues.& Thurs. night summer concerts in Ballard Park. Concerts are open to public. Located in the heart of Ridgefield. Dep't.

CHIRP's mission is to present music that would not normally have a venue in our area, thus performers who play for us are subject to a radius/no. of days restriction. It is totally funded by individual and foundation donations as well as contributions from local businesses. It is co-sponsored by the town of Ridgefield, Connecticut through its Parks & Rec. and The Ridgefield Press.. Concerts regularly begin at 7 p.m. See official website for event schedule: http://www.chirpct.org

MISSING DOG — Spreckles

Spreckles, who belongs to our publisher Barbara Manners, went missing this morning near Ligi's Way, by ROAR and the transfer station. Blue merle Australian shepherd mix — one blue eye, one brown, white chest and paws. Friendly.

If you see Spreckles, call Ridgefield Animal Control at 203-431-2711. If you can't reach anyone, note the exact time and location and call the Ridgefield Police non-emergency line, 203-431-2700.

Friendly, but please don't chase — a startled dog runs, and that stretch has too much road and too much open land behind it. Stand still, call gently, and phone it in.

Ridgefield neighbors, please share. Check your yards, sheds, garages and any open outbuildings.
