This is an old 80’s Traynor TS-60B. It’s a solid state bass amp but sounds sick for guitar if you run it to a guitar speaker cab. I stumbled up this classic riff from 2011. Gain cranked no pedals 🫡

Against all odds and I finished an album and it has been set free today 🕊️ It’s a beautifully sad record, concise, and worth a listen. Now, do you think this is really goodbye from Jonathan or is he just being dramatic? History has shown it’s probably the latter and I hope that’s true.

This is Billy (), as many of you know. He’s gonna help run the studio(!) while I’m adjusting to fatherhood and living primarily in nova. Billy has a great disposition and is an awesome songwriter, guitar player, keyboardist, and engineer. He’s been getting up to speed at the studio over the last couple weeks and I’m working on getting a bathroom installed so go west can continue to be a creative resource for you guys!

Tough year…I’ll think about the good:
Building a jazzmaster for Gina. Feeling a lot of love from my friends and family following my bike crash injury. Finding out I’m gonna be a dad!😊
And getting to spend another year making music. Thank you for rocking with me. There are some announcements coming soon regarding the status of the studio for 2026!

Well, the life event hits keep coming this year.. Gina and I are expecting a baby girl in February! Which is sick we’re very stoked! However, long story short, I’ll be moving to NOVA in January and taking a big step back from Go West for about 15 months, after which we plan to return.

The studio isn’t going anywhere and I’ll still have a room here so I’m hoping to make semi-regular trips down to work on some select projects. But I really have no idea what kind of storm is coming so I’ll have to feel it out. I’ll try to keep everyone updated but let’s just say my availability will be somewhere between none and very limited.

Thank you all for a really great and rewarding last few years. And I’m sorry to those who were hoping to work with me this upcoming year. Still feel free to hit me up, there may be some ways I can help. I won’t be far.

I’m making some music for a surfing documentary. When recording tambourine you always want to start with a solid base, feet about shoulder-width apart 👍

Turns out I really enjoy mastering more than I ever thought I would. I dunno, I think I just have the right disposition for it 🤷🏼‍♂️

Wow what a solid year! Huge thanks to everyone that trusts me with their music and allows me to do what I enjoy. I love the history that is developing at the studio and am excited to add to it this year. Now booking for February and beyond hmu!

Pictured are works that came thru the studio and were released this year. Some big hand, some small hand. Probably missed a couple things. Couldn’t tag everyone. Thanks y’all 🙂

The album is out!! This was an amazing project to be a part of, huge thanks to the band for having me on. It rocks so hard. Dive in and get to know it, it’s got it all.

Side note “Heart of Mud” is a masterpiece and truly one of my favorite songs of all time

Shoutout for the excellent mastering work🙌🫡
