Meet Jimmy Weinstein, one of the many faces (and minds!) behind The Complete History of America (abridged)! 🎉

A recent graduate of William & Mary, Jimmy is pulling double duty this summer as both a performer and the costume designer for this whirlwind comedy.

Jimmy recently graduated from William & Mary and is thrilled to be acting in—and designing the costumes for—The Complete History of America (abridged). A performer, educator, and theatre-maker, Bridget Wolf has spent her career bringing stories to life—and now she's helping tell 600 years of American history in just 90 hilarious minutes!

"I am a moron with a dream... and that, my friends, makes me the most dangerous kind of moron!" 😂

🤣 What's made you laugh the most during rehearsals?

"The Radio Show. I get to play with props... all the props!" 🎙️🎩

Silly. Random. Nostalgic.

Bridget has worked in theatre since she was just 12 years old, performing and directing across the country while also teaching improvisation in Belgium. Before joining the faculty at William & Mary, she brought history to life for thousands of guests at Colonial Williamsburg, creating unforgettable characters inspired by remarkable women from America's past.

This summer, Bridget has worn two hats—serving as both Production Manager and a performer in The Complete History of America (abridged)—making it a fun, fast-paced, and incredibly creative summer!

Meet Murphy Scherer, making both her Richmond Shakespeare debut and her professional acting debut in The Complete History of America (abridged)! 🎉

Murphy is also serving as our Marketing Manager, making this a very exciting summer both onstage and behind the scenes!

"All right, men, we're going over the top. Don't stop singing 'til we're marching down Broadway!"

😂 What's made you laugh the most during rehearsals?

"The hilarious costumes like the Minute Men, the Andrews Sisters, and Richard Nixon!"

🎭 Describe this show in three words.

Chaotic. Historical. Whirlwind.

Murphy is currently a junior at William & Mary and has recently appeared as the Nightingale in Once Upon a Mattress with Sinfonicron Light Opera Company, Eliza Bastwick in Until the Stars Fall with TBD Theatre Troupe, and Dragon in Shrek: The Musical. She has also worked behind the scenes as an assistant vocal director and publicity designer, bringing creativity to productions both onstage and off.

The health and safety of our patrons, artists, staff, and volunteers is our highest priority. With smoke from the Canadian wildfires affecting air quality in our region, we believe this is the safest decision for everyone.
