Summer is here along with a relaxed dance calendar. Come dance throughout the summer in the air conditioning at WEB. We are lucky to have National and touring callers and musicians joining us! Our LGRA Sunday dances go on hiatus for the months of July and August due to heat. Please check the dates carefully as there are some changes. Let’s dance this Saturday, May 23rd to live music by Mike and Rya of Foot Traffic. Our Caller, Jack Maus, will teach a beginner lesson at 6:45, suitable for dancers new and old. If you’re introducing friends and family to dance, set them up for success by coming early for the lesson! We’ll dance 7:30-10:30, and did we mention that WEB is air conditioned? Coming up, we’re dancing to tunes by the McKenzies of Roanoke with dances taught and Called by Thomas Begley of NC! We hope to see you at Lewis Ginter Rec on Sunday 3/15. Beginners and experienced dancers alike are encouraged to come early for a beginner lesson at 1:45 to get oriented and warmed up before the dance from 2:30-5:30. Role terms will be Larks and Robins. Not sure what that means? Come early at 6:45 to learn a little at our beginner lesson. Dances will follow from 7:30-10:30 pm.
