The Heritage Bluegrass Band Keeping The Bluegrass Tradition! Having produced 4 CD’s and played over 1,000 shows. the music of Heritage has been enjoyed across the USA and internationally.

Founded by Donald Warthan in 1984, Heritage has long been known for its exceptional vocals and instrumental work. 2016 finds us celebrating 32 years of “Keeping the Bluegrass Tradition”! Heritage has been a showcase band for many music festivals and events (including IBMA) and continues to play sold out shows and music festivals.

Donald Warthan, lifelong bluegrass performer and founder of the band, Heritage, died on October 10. He was 79 years of age.

Saturday, July 20th – Moose Pickin’ Party and BBQ Competition! Heritage invites our Bluegrass Family and Friends to join us for fun filled day of your favorite Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel Music as we perform for the Annual Moose Pickin’ Party and BBQ Competition! This family style one-day event features four bands performing Bluegrass music from noon until 8:00 PM. Heritage will perform at 3:00 PM and again at 7:00 PM. This annual fundraising event is hosted by the Gloucester Moose Lodge and will take place at the Gloucester Moose Family Center #886, located at 6565 Moose Drive, Gloucester, Virginia 23061.
