Good Clear Sound VCU's Award-winning slam poetry organization. Currently ranked #3 in college slam poetry! GOOD CLEAR SOUND. VCU's official slam poetry collective.

(Formerly known as Slam Nahuatl at VCU)

In April 2012, we sent our first team to the College Unions Poetry Slam in LA, and placed 10th out of 48 teams. February 2013, we sent VCU's slam team to the Region 5 Poetry Slam at UT Knoxville and won 1st place (as the reigning champs). Two months later, we sent the team to CUPSI in NYC and placed 3rd out of 59! In 2014 & 2015, VCU placed 2nd at CUPSI! 2016, 9th place. 2017, 6th place. 2018, 3rd place. 2019, we took a break from competition. In only 9 years, our organization has grown so much! This school year, Good Clear Sound's poetry slam events will be held in OMSA 215 to determine the 5 poets who will represent VCU in the Spring (CUPSI 2020 will be hosted at VCU April 15-18th!) We need poets, audience members and judges so come out and support!
