I've been doing fractal art for several months now, having retired after an interesting career in Information Technology. Exposure to fractal geometry was initiated during my mathematical studies in completion of a degree in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA. Images are generated using fractal software, which takes as input a mathematical formula, applying iterative calculations to produce output. The output can be stretched, rotated, colored, textured, layered and otherwise modified to reach an interesting result.
