What literary device is accidentally leaving a laugh react on the post where you wrote that laugh reacts on a specific post are done by psychopaths. Well, guess I'm potentially a psychopath but I'm certainly not a racist.

We definitely laugh at racists and ourselves but this is pretty annoying. The only thing I hate in life is mistakes... and bigots. These are both our comments posted on CBS six Juneteenth articles where the usual suspects were laughing at the end of slavery and saying Juneteenth shouldn't be a holiday.

Juneteenth is not a Black holiday or a made-up holiday. The United States didn't have a holiday for emancipation but we had a proclamation. We didn't have a celebratory day for the end of the Civil War. We needed a holiday to say we became the land of the free. That our fellow Americans are important and we are glad they are no longer in physical chains.

Thus, we celebrate Juneteenth.

We also support the end of the racist carceral state. We celebrate our community. And we support reparations and historical correction of employment discrimination. We support dissolving marijuna convictions that disproportionately affect the Black community and believe the upcoming opening of such stores should be licensed to Black business owners by majority.

Race relations is a stain on the United States and a hatred of the people who built this country, physically and economically, will not be tolerated.

Join us for our bi-annual poetry tournament at Main branch! Bring your best 17-syllable musings and compete with them in a head-to-head poetry battle!

We are accepting up to 32 competitors to participate in a bracket consisting of best 2-out-of-3 matches. Winners, as decided by random judges, advance to the next round.

Submit and bring 12 pre-written haiku to ensure you have enough to make it to finals. Third place and championship matches will require poems written on the spot!

All who wish to be contestants must contact us through DM or email to participate and all haikus must be submitted to CommonWealth Poetry before midnight, July 22nd, to ensure the 17-syllable format is met.

Bring a friend and invite an enemy!
