The new project I have taken on. This cinderblock is going to be a fishing pole holder, but if you haven't realized by now, I customize nearly everything 😛 Each side is going to have a different scene. I have gotten 1/2 of it primed, just need to get the other half done so that I can begin the painting. I found this which is why it's a little crumbly.

Playing with pastels. This is a commission piece for a younger girl who asked for pastel pink, purple, and teal. Swipe for beautiful shaded and sunlit views. I'm undecided on the orientation of this one because it could go almost any direction! This is the first time I've worked with pastels and also the first painting I have kept clean on the back... This painting got me thinking about remaining soft in a tough world. It's easy to put up tall walls and harden in this hard world, after a hard life, a hard day. But I encourage you to remain soft at heart. There is a certain type of strength that comes with being tender as you were when you were younger. Take pride in remaining soft in a hard world, practice compassion every day.... And look after each other my friends 💜💗💙

Video preview to the still shots I'm about to post. I like how the teal has more of a green color but in the sun it's more blue. You'll be able to see in my next post. The clear coat didn't go on without a story. After having a less than awesome day, I painted a clear coat instead of using resin this time. Once I finished, I picked it up to move it, but when I did, it flipped out of my hands face first onto the carpet 😬 I spent the next 2 hours cleaning hair out of that painting and had to do a second coat. Why is it always on the bad days you have freak accidents?? 😅

This piece gets cooler and cooler the closer you get. Scroll to see all the scrumptious details 👍🏻😁 I am on a roll with comission pieces lately. It's satisfying working with someone's ideas for a project. It can be nerve wracking at times, but it's like a puzzle taking abstract visions and turning it into a concrete concept. Then I get to play with all of the scraps 😋 I hate seeing things go to waste.
