As part of the Tending What Hurts series, my friend Suzanne Vinson and I are giving away two bundles of Suzanne’s new book, 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘴: 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘞𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘵.

Each bundle also comes with a beautiful deck of 52 illumination cards, providing a 1-2 line prayer or mantra and accompanying artwork that you can reference throughout the day.
These prayers were written as gentle reminders—ways to return to ourselves, to compassion, and to loving kindness throughout the day.
As Suzanne writes:

Some of us were trained to give more than we have.
So we live exhausted.
Overextended.
Running on empty…calling it faithfulness.
But as my friend, fellow minister and artist Suzanne Vinson reminded me this week, “you can’t heal from a deficit.”
You need may more rest. More care. More breath than you think you’re allowed to take.
And sometimes the way back is simple—a pencil, a page, a few marks…and something begins again.
