During the 1970s, Mr. Naplah served as an art teacher at St. Mary’s Elementary School in Liberia. In 1980s he transitioned to coach, initiated and built a basketball championship program that led the school to national titles. Beyond the victories on the court, Mr. Naplah was deeply committed to the growth of his team, encouraging excellence in both athletics and academics
Recognizing the talents, discipline, and commitment of the players, Mr. Naplah worked closely with the school’s principal Dr. Elliot Wleh Wilson, to create and ensure opportunities by supporting scholarships and inspiring students to pursue brighter futures through education.
He was recognized by the Alumni Association for his leadership and mentoring of current members of the association and students. Mr. Naplah currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia and continues his life with his lovely wife. His legacy extends beyond championships as it is exemplified through students and athletes he coached, the lives he helped shape, and the examples he set as an educator, coach, mentor, and community leader.
