Conventions are about joy.

We gather, play, watch listen we read we create and come together at these shows sometimes thousands of miles apart to be in community.

We gather for the kid seeing their first cosplay walk by and realizing people like them exist. For the player who finally lands the combo they practiced for months. For the artist who sells their first print. For the parent watching their kid light up.

Deals get made, skills get built and streams are counted but joy sits at the top of the pyramid.

The world will always have noise. Metrics. Clout. Hype. Algorithms fighting for your attention. A con is where you can look past all the noise and find a moment of pure bliss.

A little spark of hope and light in a world that can feel cruel and dark.

So go. Find your joy.

We could use your help spreading the word about two openings on the ImmerseCon team. Even if these roles aren’t for you, someone in your network might be a great fit. We’re Central Virginia’s largest cross-genre gaming and STEM convention, back at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in 2027, and we’re growing the team.

Sponsorship Director
This one is for someone with a real passion for geek communities, immersive experiences, or Esports. The work is building sponsor relationships. Finding brands that fit what we do, bringing them on board, and making sure they have a great experience with us. You don’t need to be a slick salesperson. You need to believe in what we’re building and be able to share that with others.

Community Manager
This one is for someone who lives in the spaces we serve. Discord, socials, local meetups, con floors. The work is keeping our community engaged year round. Answering questions, sparking conversations, and making sure everyone who finds us feels like they belong here.
