The Eggceptions Plays & Love Resolutions Workshops “The Eggceptions Play and Love Resolutions Workshops” is a fun and exciting new way to examine proven relationship techniques for singles & all couples.

A celebration of Love is more than just an evening or a day; it’s a lifestyle. The Eggceptions is a series of plays that combines cutting edge theatre techniques along with dynamic workshops to inspire singles and couples and educate them about experiencing the greatest love of their lives. After being entertained and inspired, you’ll get relationship advice from the experts. Talk to the experts,

one-on-one or with your spouse, for more advice in a private setting. The play was inspired by the story of Mildred and Richard Loving from the Loving vs. Virginia Supreme Court decision. It is an entertaining and exciting new way to look at a couple who found love, overcame obstacles and survived and thrived through the demands of marriage. It is great for Valentine’s Day and making a resolution to enjoy the love of your life all year long. The Eggceptions play evolved from an experimental theatre workshop designed for men who wanted to be better fathers and husbands despite personal challenges. The actors were more than characters: They were role models. These men showed how they overcame their personal demons to become successful fathers and husbands. The workshop that accompanied the play dealt with issues of new fatherhood through a boot camp for new dads program in Richmond. Based on follow-up surveys, the experimental theatre workshop concept was a huge success for men. There were some exciting results from the other audience members as well. The survey responses from women who attended with their husbands, sons and friends were extraordinary insightful. Women loved the new theatre workshop concept but wanted to explore other relationship issues such as communication, s*x, finance and more. Both the men and women also wanted to see female characters portraying a successful family overcoming external and internal challenges. Also some single men had questions about selecting a spouse and preparing for marriage, which was not in the original scope of the project, but was included in the Eggceptions series. The name “Eggceptions” comes from listening to bleak and horrible marriage/divorce statistics across all segments of society in all types of relationships. If you listen to the news, you might consider giving up on ever having a successful relationship. Despite the grim marriage/divorce statistics, the purpose of the plays and workshops is to produce couples who are the “exceptions” to the disappointing relationships rule. The play inspired a new twist that you will understand when you see it and the project became the EGGCEPTIONS. The first installment of the Eggceptions Play and Love Resolutions Workshops series is “Love Against All Odds.” It will hold its world premiere February 13 & 14, 2016 in Richmond, VA. This is more than a play. This is more than a workshop. This is the Eggceptions ™ Plays and Love Resolution Workshop ™ making its world premiere on Valentine’s Day weekend 2016. It all begins with the Eggceptions’ first play, “Love Against All Odds.” Inspired by the Loving vs. Virginia and 2015 marriage equality Supreme Court decisions, an in*******al couple in the early ‘70s fights against state laws and family attitudes that prohibit in*******al marriage to create a loving family. You too can win against all odds with the accompanying mini-workshops. The Love Resolution Workshops ™ can coach you in keeping your relationship and financial resolutions. Come, be a part of history and bring your friends.

This event is great for singles and newly engaged couples trying to learn more about successful relationships, as well as seasoned couples looking to improve their relationships. The Eggceptions: Love Against All Odds Play & Love Resolutions Workshops is casting for:
• 1 - Male Caucasian Actor 50 - 70+ to play the leading southern gentleman & understudy .
• 1 – Female African – American 50- 70+ and understudy
• 2 - Versatile Male (1 Male/1 Female) Actor to play various character/roles and 2 understudies.
• Actors and Understudies will be paid.
• Intern/Volunteer positions are available for applicants who are interested in working in an exciting new startup that is looking to redefine theatre. Must have education or experience in managing theater, marketing and/or producing.

Race, S*x and the Freedom to Marry: Loving V. Virginia is a great book. Professor Peter Wallenstein did a great job writing this book. This is the book I am reading this quarter for our book club. I am surprised how much Mildred and Richard Loving had to go through for love. WHAT WOULD YOU DO FOR LOVE? The book is available on Amazon. Let us know what you think about it.

I was just going over my notes from the lecture about the Lovings couple at the Virginia Historical Society. There were several facts I discovered from Dr. Wallenstein lecture. One was that at the Lovings first court appearances, they were give the choice of being banned from the state of Virginia or spending a year in jail. They moved out of the state away from their family. How am I going to add this to the play, the Eggceptions? Now what would you do for love? I can't wait to read the book.

This week has been fun. I had auditions for my play performance at the Richmond Playwright's Forum showcase next week. Richmond has some great talents. These actors are great. It was hard to choose. Luckily I had the director Sheane Taylor and Actress Diane Carver helping me. They were a big help! I FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES.
