Hey Richmond, I am urgently seeking mutual aid funds to help out one of my dearest friends, Josh Clark who is on the verge of homelessness.
Some of you have met Josh with me or seen him in my stories, but if you don’t know Josh, he is someone I’ve been watching over for the past 6-7 years after he was brutally assaulted in 2015 and suffered a devastating brain injury that permanently altered his life.
The injuries from this event have severely changed Josh’s ability to take care of himself, be socially engaged, and have relationships like he once did.
Because of that he’s faced a myriad of unfortunate circumstances over the years with very little support. He’s managed a way to carry on with the help of friends and his mother but his support system is extremely limited and there are almost no government programs to help out people like Josh.
As of this month, Josh’s living circumstances have changed and he now faces a very dire situation as to not become homeless and we need your help. It would mean the world to me if you could please take a few minutes out of your day to read Josh’s story, share and donate whatever you can. I will do everything in my power to help Josh out especially in these upcoming weeks and having our community come together to help out in this difficult moment means the world to me. I know Josh will greatly appreciate the support of his city coming together to help him out 💕
