I went out in the rain… and came home with a BUCKET of coffee!

Yes. A BUCKET.

Apparently, a rainy Sunday morning isn’t stopping anyone from getting their caffeine fix at Paperback Pours Coffee Co. And now I know why!

This charming little coffee truck combines a love of books with handcrafted specialty coffees, and clearly, people are loving it!

Naturally, I ordered the s’mores bucket, and OH. MY. GOODNESS. It absolutely lived up to the hype!

A rainy morning, a charming little business, and a ridiculously good bucket of coffee. I’d call that a Sunday well spent!

Be honest… would you order a BUCKET of coffee?

Have you ever seen a 300-foot-tall peanut floating in the sky?

When you send a drone show crew to the Suffolk Peanut Fest, you already know things are going to get a little nuts.

From the carnival rides and festival lights to the energy of the crowd, Suffolk, Virginia, knows how to put on a show. And when the sun went down, we took the party 300 feet into the sky.

Hundreds of synchronized drones, one giant glowing peanut, and a whole lot of Virginia pride.

Because at Airloom Drone Shows, we don't just light up the sky.

We create moments worth sharing.

Suffolk Peanut Fest, you were NUTS!

Went to the Richmond Folk Festival for the music. Left talking about MONKEYS and DONUTS. 😂

Because seriously… WHAT IS THIS LIFE?!

Only in Richmond can you casually stroll through downtown, stumble upon a man pushing TWO MONKEYS in a stroller, and somehow end up PETTING BOTH OF THEM.

Forget the headliners. I met the real VIPs. 🐒

And then came my other favorite festival activity… following the longest food truck line.

I have a theory: If the line is ridiculously long, the food must be ridiculously good.

Enter Yoder’s Dutch Delights.

If you know, YOU KNOW.

These aren’t just any donuts. We’re talking HUGE, handmade, Amish-style sourdough donuts served warm and fresh. And here’s the sweet part: Yoder’s carries on the family recipe and legacy behind Richmond’s beloved Mrs. Yoder’s donuts!

That line? Easily the longest food truck line I’ve ever willingly stood in. But it moved surprisingly fast, and after that first bite?

I would’ve stood in it twice.

So yes, the Richmond Folk Festival had incredible music, culture, and entertainment.

But my personal highlights?

Two monkeys, a legendary donut, and another reminder that you just never know what kind of adventure you’ll find wandering around RVA.

Now I need to know… are you standing in that ridiculously long food truck line, or are you walking right past it? 👇

Still flying high on vibes. ✨
The sky lit up, the crowd lit up, and Airloom Drone Shows loved your energy.

Swipe through the night. Every glow, every phone in the air, every shared gasp. This is what it looks like when a whole city looks up together.

We light up the sky. Richmond brings the vibes.

Airloom Drone Shows gets the privilege of making your night skies magical, and I get the privilege of launching those shows from some pretty incredible places.

Richmond, you absolutely showed out for the final Vibes at Sunset. The energy, the crowd, the skyline, and that beautiful backdrop made for one unforgettable night.

There’s something special about watching a city come alive below while we bring the magic above.

What a way to wrap up Vibes at Sunset.

So now the question is… where are we launching from next?

The sun went down, but the vibes went WAY up!

Vibes at Sunset lived up to its name last night, and Airloom made sure the evening ended on a HIGH note!

A spectacular drone show lit up the night sky, turning an already incredible evening into an unforgettable finale.

The music. The energy. The crowd. The MAGIC.

The sunset was beautiful, but the sky had one last showstopper in store.

RICHMOND… SOME OF Y’ALL HAVE SKELETONS IN YOUR CLOSETS. THE REST HAVE THEM IN YOUR FRONT YARDS!

I went on a little Halloween hunt around RVA, and let me tell you… these homeowners did NOT come to play!

By day? Cute neighborhoods. Nothing suspicious.

By night? THE DEAD HAVE RISEN… AND SOMEONE GAVE THEM A LIGHTING BUDGET!

The HOA might have questions, but I have nothing but applause!

Want to take your own RVA spooky tour?

Comment “SPOOKY” and I’ll send you my list of stops!

And if your neighbors have lost their minds in the Halloween aisle, TAG THEM! I need to see it!

What if the night sky was never meant to stay dark?

Another city. Another event. Another sky transformed into something unforgettable.

There’s a moment just before the drones rise when everything is still…
then suddenly, the darkness becomes the canvas.

Lights move. Stories appear. The crowd looks up.

And from where I’m standing, it still feels a little like magic every single time.

Another night sky. Another memory captured.

The only question now…

Where will we end up next?

West Virginia… you KNOW how to throw a festival.

OpenSky Drone Productions took to the skies over Elkins for the 88th Mountain State Forest Festival, and what a way to light up the mountains.

This isn’t just another fall festival. Dating back to 1930, the Mountain State Forest Festival is one of West Virginia’s oldest and largest traditions—a celebration of the state’s forests, natural resources, mountain culture, and all that gorgeous Appalachian autumn color. This year’s theme, “Autumn in Color,” could not have had a better backdrop.

And then… we added a few hundred lights to the sky.

There’s something pretty incredible about watching a drone show come to life against the mountains of West Virginia—the crowd below, the fall air, and an entire story being drawn overhead one formation at a time.

Elkins, you showed UP.

Thank you, Mountain State Forest Festival, for letting OpenSky be a little part of such a HUGE West Virginia tradition.

Almost Heaven looked pretty spectacular from where we were standing.

POV: you’re on the way to location… but West Virginia puts an Almost Heaven swing on the side of the road. ✨

Obviously, I stopped.

Because somewhere between the jobs, the miles, the gear, and the places I’m supposed to be… I’m still going to make time for the view.

A little fall color.
A little mountain air.
A swing with a view.
And one very necessary detour.

Turns out, sometimes Almost Heaven is right on the way. 🍂🤎

Have shutter, will travel… and apparently, will pull over. 😂📸
