Remember we are getting close to the cutoff date for the RSVP Forms to be turned in for the 2026 Celebration Banquet. We honor every competitor that attends our awards ceremony. If you are wondering what our banquet’s are like ask anyone that has attended a previous banquet and they will tell you what goes on inside the walls of the Augusta Civic Center on Banquet Night.

We have the final race day of the season at LST Motorsports Park this coming Saturday, let's have some fun! Yes, SATURDAY October 10th.

The day will feature the Mini Cups, Non-Winners races, a round of normal feature racing and some fun events to round out the year!

To be eligible for the Non-Winners races you must have raced at least 50% (7 or more) of the events. Winged Champ races will count towards your 7 events for either Sr. Champ or Masters Champ.

A round of normal length feature races will precede the fun events. Masters Champ and Sr. Champ will be combined for their normal event unless we have significant kart counts in both classes.

Jr. Box Stock and Box Stock will both have a Pit Stop Challenge similar to what we had last year. 10 laps, Pit Stop, 10 more laps.

Jr. Sportsman will have a Quick Stop Challenge. Once during the race you will have to pull over and come to a complete stop before resuming your race.

Sportsman are going to Rip the Top. The inside groove of the track will be off limits and everyone will need to make the outside work.

Masters Champ and Senior Champ will combine for the Old School Champ challenge. You will be required to race what is normally a left side tire on the right front! (A Vega 450 on a 6.5" or less wheel)

Last but not least, the Ladies will once again finish the season off for us. Both rocker and champ are allowed, just please refrain from participating if you have prior competition karting experience. (Previous year's ladies races don't count)

We hope to see you all for a fun and exciting day! SATURDAY October 10th.

Gates Open 9:00

Like all other tracks across New England, Mainely Karting fought wet weather and bleak horizons over the course of September.

When our race plans were threatened once again, we decided to pivot on Sunday, September 20th, move the schedule up one hour and host a features-only program that was presented by our friends at Kennebec Equipment Rental, Inc..

On what turned out to be our unexpected last day of points racing, we are grateful for all of the drivers, teams and families that adjusted their lives and schedules to join us for a full day of racing that included all weekly divisions plus the flex Jr. Champ Red Karts and Winged Champs.

Hudson Childs, who had dominated the better half of the season in the Box Stocks, faced unprecedented trouble just 3 laps into the race, taking him out of contention for the win. It was Owen Wright who stepped up and took home the W, fending off Braxton Cyr for the victory.

Cole Talon continued to impress in the Jr. Sportsman division, putting on quite the show in the final laps of the race with Hudson Paquette and leading the to victory one final time. He was the "cream of the crop" all season in both the Jr. Sportsman and the flex Jr. Champ Red Karts, as he followed up his "Flex Friday" victory with his second consecutive win in the flex division.

James Doucette truly came to life about halfway through the race season and never left off of the gas pedal. He scored a ceremonious win to close out the season, beating out multi-time race winner Mike Ramsey and Victor Parker, who had a race of their own coming to the finish line.

The top 3 finishers in the Sportsman division finished within an impressive one second deficit, and it was Ben Doucette who came out on top over a hard-charging Owen Michaels and Rex Reynolds.

Arielle Holland, who really impressed us with her growth over the course of the season, won one for the girls in thrilling fashion with a victory in the Sr. Champ Karts. It was the second closest finish of the day and truly anyone's race, with the top 4 drivers finishing within one second of each other.

Noah Jalbert, who typically competes at Bartlett Bridge Raceway, joined us for the Winged Champ race. After scoring third in practice, Jalbert got to work in the 25-lap feature and steadily climbed to the top of the leaderboard. It ended up being an absolutely thrilling finish between all of the drivers in the top five, with Noah Jalbert fending off Arielle Holland and Adam Josselyn for the victory. Jalbert truly showcased perseverance, proving that he is a true fighter in more ways than one.

With the competitive portion of the season now in the rearview, we are excited to close the 2026 race season out strong, beginning with our "Fall Finale" event on Saturday, October 10th - see you there!

September was quite the month at LST Motorsports Park!

Although rain plagued us more than we would like and quite literally dampened the end of the season, we still managed to host two great race programs, one of which being the "Flex Friday" event that kicked off Boss Hogg 150 weekend in Coastal Maine.

The Jr. Box Stocks, Jr. Sportsman Champ, Winged Champ and Mini Cups joined us for the unique program that was presented by Hudson Speedway, DC Concrete and A-1 Auto. The night was highlighted by time trials for every division besides the Jr. Box Stocks, extended payouts and a 3-race "championship" for the Mini Cups.

7 young drivers joined us that night in the Jr. Box Stocks, and Braydon Parrott and Crew Childs put on quite the show at the front of the field. All the drivers in the division continue to grow with every passing race, and we were highly impressed and proud that all competitors completed the full 20 laps, with not one driver falling off of the lead lap.

Rob McQuillan came out swinging in the Mini Cups, topping the leaderboard in time trials by .113 seconds over Colin Hall. His dominance continued into all three 20-lap features, where he truly brought the heat as the closest finish of the night was won by a margin of 2.491 seconds.

Adam Josselyn followed in Rob McQuillan's footsteps, topping veteran Mike Ramsey in time trials for the Winged Champ karts by a mere .271 seconds. Josselyn took off from the point in the extended 35-lap feature and furthered his lead as the laps wound down, securing the victory and $2,000 payout as he was dubbed "King of the Wings".

There was a clean sweep in all of our competitive divisions that night, as Cole Talon put down the fastest lap in time trials for the Jr. Sportsman Champ class with the top lap of 10.879 seconds. He remained steadfast and confident over the course of the 25-lap feature race, holding off Jackson Corbeau and JT Farrington for the victory.

Our "Labor Day Special" was a great way to kick off the month of September and have a little fun with some of our flex division competitors, with extended payouts being a small "thank you" to the drivers that had graciously joined us all season long, which truly doesn't go unnoticed!

Steve and I want to share our message to everyone that has supported our "little track" this season.

Every race season has its highs and lows. Some weeks things work in your favor, and other weeks they don’t — and over the course of a season, all of those variables play a part in how things ultimately shake out.

From the beginning, we have had a policy of not making up rainouts, and after careful consideration, we have decided to continue with that policy.

We understand that every situation can affect teams differently. A decision that benefits one team may disadvantage another, and there simply isn’t a solution that will work perfectly for everyone. That is exactly why we believe the fairest approach is to remain consistent with the policies that were in place throughout the season rather than changing them depending on the circumstances.

Weather, mechanical issues, missed races, great nights and tough nights are all part of racing. We know how much time, work and commitment every team puts into the season, and we truly appreciate that.

Consistency matters, and sometimes sticking to a policy isn’t the easiest decision — but we believe it is the fairest one.

Thank you to all of our racers, teams and families for being part of the season.

Steve and Deb

Unfortunately racing has been cancelled for tomorrow. It looks like rain will be coming in over night and throughout the day. In addition, the low temperatures will make it prohibitive to dry the track and find a window for racing.

As we reminded everyone last week, there will be no make-up date. Our policy is not to extend the season beyond the stated schedule. Championship racing is a commitment for the entire family and while some families are able to race unscheduled dates, others cannot.

Therefore championship standings are now final. Congratulations to our 2026 champions! Please get your banquet forms sent in and join us to celebrate our competitors on November 7th!

We have one more non-points day scheduled for October 10th. This event will feature the last race for the Mini Cups, non-winner races and some other unique, fun racing events.

It's championship day at LST Motorsports Park! This Sunday we will be crowning 5 champions to be later recognized at our annual awards banquet at the Augusta Civic Center. Here is a snapshot of where the standings are headed into the weekend:

Box Stock: After a difficult race last week, Hudson Childs saw hi healthy championship lead evaporate. Owen Wright is now the point leaded by only a single point! Owen won last week's event and therefore will be coming from the back this week. Let's see if Hudson can hold him off! Both will be fighting for their first championship.

Jr. Sportsman: It's likely that Cole Talon only needs to start both heat and feature to secure the Jr. Sportsman title, but second place is a three-way battle separated by only 15 points! Jackson Corbeau, Hudson Paquette and Bentley Tarr have all shown speed taking at least one win each this season. Should be exciting to watch!

Sportsman: Owen Michaels has a comfortable lead of 30 points, but will still need to put in a decent performance to secure his first Mainely Karting title. Rex Reynolds leads the division with 6 wins but Michaels has beaten him on consistency thus far.

Sr. Champ: The competition in this division has been fierce this year. In 12 events we have had 10 different winners. The only two drivers to repeat were Andrew Rogers and Colby Wilson but Colby missed the first half of the season due to an injury. Welker Reynolds has emerged as the title favorite with a 28 point lead.

Masters Champ: This title battle has gone back and forth a few times this year with James Doucette currently leading Mike Ramsey by only a single point! James will be serving his winner penalty from last week and will need to get past Mike Ramsey if he wants to win his first Mainely Karting Championship.

Should be an exciting, action-packed day!

Not the perfect situation but in order to get the Mainely Karting program in tomorrow we are calling an audible. Moving everything up an hour. Gates will open at 8am, Drivers Meeting at 9. We will then roll with 1 round of practice beginning at 9:30 and then the plan will be to start with a FEATURE ONLY program at 10:30. Kennebec Equipment Rental, Inc. raceday @ LST Motorsports Park is a go with some changes. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
