We're looking forward to our first Reid Center Live! at Noon concert on Wednesday, September 2! Leslie Stratton will bring her harp and its heavenly music to our auditorium with its beautiful Tiffany windows.

All events last 45-50 minutes and are open to the public. Admission is free.

As the 25th anniversary of September 11 approaches, we are preparing to honor Richmond's own first responders at Ashes to Angels. This special program will feature statements and stories from Police Chief Kyle Weatherly and a number of other current and former responders as well as inspiring musical performances. Out of the ashes come angels! Saturday, September 12, 7:00 p.m. at The Reid Center.

If you haven't had a chance to see the gorgeous interior of The Reid Center, this is your opportunity. Local historian and Reid Center board member, Sue King, will be on hand to tell the story of Daniel Gray Reid and his gift of the Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church. Tours will begin at 11:00 AM on the second Saturday in September, October, November and December. (Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14, and Dec. 12)

Visitors will experience the amazing interior that was designed entirely by Tiffany Studios of New York City. Every window in the building is a Tiffany window! The former church is a national treasure and is finding new life as a performance venue and community center.

Today we are discouraged to report that a portion of historic Richmond was vandalized: The two original 1906 metal lamps at the entrance to the Reid Center were stolen - not just from us but from our community as a whole. We are doing everything we can to locate them, and if anyone has information that could help the case, please contact the Richmond Police Department at 765-983-7247, Case RP26-01863.
Vandalism is not okay!!

Featuring present and past members of Richmond's Police and Fire Departments, Wayne County veterans, and others with musical performances and tribute stories. We're celebrating! Our years-long collaboration with Whitewater Valley Presbytery (PC USA) and Indiana Landmarks has at last led to the former Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church becoming the property of The Reid Center! This was made possible by the desire of all parties to preserve the legacy of this magnificent, historic landmark and its builder, Daniel G. Reid.
