In April 2021 our family spent a week at Lake Lure and Chimney Rock making wonderful memories. In April 2022 Mike and I returned to and stayed in the town of Chimney Rock and visited Asheville, NC as well. While there we visited several art galleries in the River Arts District and I purchased a small painting by Jonas Gerard. I feel fortunate that I was able to see his work. The video I am sharing is by his daughter. These galleries were the artists’ livelihood. They need help as well. This area is one of many that has been devastated in the floods from Helene. If anyone is in that area and can help in any way they would greatly appreciate it.

These two pieces were chosen for the July All Media Show in the Skylight Gallery at Art Works at 320 Hull St. Richmond, Va. I submitted three pieces and the juror chose these two. The opening reception for the new exhibits is July 26 from 6 pm - 8 pm. I hope to see you there!

Five new small acrylic paintings. I used interference and iridescent colors in these so they change with the light. See the comments for each painting for a photo of the color change.
