TONIGHT! The Roost Stand-up Comedy Showcase will be in full force at Benchtop Brewing. We're thrilled to have Kate Blansett featuring. Kate is a D.C.-based comedian who uses humor to process the minor traumas and slight inconveniences life has dealt her. Originally from Indiana, her comedy provides refreshing views on marriage and men, as well as surprisingly good tips on how to be a better ultimate frisbee player.

She has taught stand-up classes to both adults and children. Nadine's dark jokes are balanced by her bright personality off the stage. Described by his boss as “introverted” and “quizzical,” Eugene started doing standup in 2024. Eugene was recently voted the I-95 Corridor’s #1 driver from Fredericksburg to Richmond! Jealous? HEADLINER ALERT!! We are so thrilled to have DC-based comic Joey Friedman making a Roost debut this Saturday! Joey began performing at her parent’s dinner table in Monsey, NY. As a cancer survivor, she has nothing to fear and delivers jokes with an unshakable frankness. She can be found hosting and featuring at the DC Improv for acts such as Louis Katz, Brad Williams, Emily Catalano and Adam Ray. Most recently, she featured in Ari Shaffir’s upcoming special. Every year, she co-produces a special fundraiser show, Sense of Tumor, featuring all cancer survivors, thrivers and caregivers.

TONIGHT! We've got a fabulous lineup including local fave Anne Meng (). Anne is a Richmond comic, half of FRANNE () and full of Hot Cheetos. She’s a politics professor at UVA where she’s been giving all her students A’s since 2016. She started doing comedy in 2014 and has been doing standup around Richmond and Charlottesville since 2018. You can usually find her in the chip aisle at Kroger. BUT TONIGHT, she'll be at Benchtop Brewing and you should be there too. Seriously, don't miss this show!
