A Fall Fairytale! More wonderful programming from our friends at Richmond Public Library 📚🍂

✨ Step into a fairy tale at the Westover Hills Fall Fairy Tale Festival!

Dress as your favorite storybook character and enjoy live performances by Virago Alley, enchanted vendors, crafts, games, a Golden Goose Egg Hunt, magic wand making, food trucks, prizes, and more!

Come experience a magical day from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM. We can’t wait to see you there! 🏰

We love a good Book Swap, especially when it includes storytime! So excited to join our friends from Studio Two Three at Fonticello Food Forest for this wonderful event 📚💕

For children and everyone who would like to gather in memory of Dolly Parton- Join us at Fonticello Food Forest, with support from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (Richmond Chapter), Studio Two Three, and Earthkin Nature School, to hold a children’s memorial for Dolly Parton.

We will read Dolly’s children’s book Coat of Many Colors and a short biography. Attendees will be invited to build a memorial and bring home a Dolly print. BOOK SWAP! Bring a children’s book to swap or donate to the little free library at Fonticello. Event is FREE and followed immediately by the Old Time Jam.

Please park on Bainbridge St and walk to the food forest through the alley across from 27th st.

Congratulations to the finalists of the 29th Annual Virginia Literary Awards! These finalists are outstanding Virginia authors in the areas of fiction, nonfiction, poetry and children’s literature. The nonfiction category includes any author whose book is on a Virginia subject.

The fiction finalists are:

The nonfiction finalists are:
• Deborah Baker | “Charlottesville: An American Story”

The winner in each category will be announced during a gala celebration at the Library of Virginia on Saturday, Sept. 19, the Commonwealth’s premier event honoring Virginia authors and their contributions to literature.
