It’s a gorgeous time to visit ! 🌸

Bonus: the Bon Air Artist Association exhibit is on display now through May 28 in the Kelly Education Center Community Art Gallery—don’t miss it! My painting of my granddaughter is there on display.

The gallery is free and doesn’t require garden admission, but trust me… once you’re there, you’ll definitely want to explore the gardens too. 🌿

His face has a story… I just haven’t decided where he lives yet.

Help me choose the background:

A. Dark & dramatic
B. Soft & subtle
C. Bold & artsy
D. Somewhere with a story

That’s a wrap for the 75th Annual Art Exhibition and Sale this year! I enjoyed it so much and am already looking forward to next year’s event! So many talented artists again this year, including my own granddaughter with her “Sunny Sunrise” felted wool piece! I entered three portraits that I painted in watercolor this year: “Millie Mae’s Zinnias”, “Hank” and “La Pulcina Italiana” (AKA my beautiful friend and Italy travel buddy, RRR).

Kudos to Deb DeKeuster and Sandy Shaw for putting together this amazing event, along with so many volunteers.

Stay tuned and check back for details about next year’s exhibit!

What an inspiring two days with in her “Quick Sketch Portraits” workshop! 🎨

Members of the Tuckahoe Artists Association and guests explored expressive techniques, loosened their approach, and discovered the beauty of capturing personality with just a few intentional strokes.
From identifying value shapes to finished sketches, the energy in the room was incredible—full of exciting colors, learning, and lots of laughter.

Thank you, Pam, for sharing your talent and approach to portraiture, inspiring us to trust the process and teaching us to sketch portraits that capture the essence of a person!
