BRING ONE FOR THE CHIPPER:
Christmas Tree-cycling Initiative
🎄♻️Saturday, December 26th to Sunday, January 10th🎄♻️

Residents can dispose of their Christmas trees by bringing them to a designated enclosure in J.F. Gregory Park.

Before dropping off a Christmas tree, residents are asked to remove all lights, ornaments, wire, hooks, string, tinsel and other decorations from the tree.

This effort to tree-cycle saves precious landfill space and provides an environmentally conscious solution for residents.

If you are unable to bring your tree to J.F. Gregory, Christmas trees can also be brought to the curb on yard waste pick-up days.

🌶 CHILI COOK-OFF INFORMATION 🌶

The 2019 Chili Cook-Off has 28 competitors registered!!! This is the most we’ve ever had.

Our annual Tree 🌲 Lighting Ceremony takes place at 5:30 p.m. There is a gingerbread competition on display, several crafters, and other food vendors. We will have a bounce house, face painting, pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus 🎅 🤶 and a lighted train for the kids to enjoy!

Entertainment includes our city songbird Anna Benton (with her husband JR) and the RH United Methodist Children’s Choir.

This is a free event — no admission charge; and no fees for the bounce house or lighted train. Bring money to spend on chili samples (usually $1-2 each) and other crafts and foods.

Please note that some vendors only take cash and there is no ATM on site.

Come out and enjoy some chili & fun before the big game! 🌶 🏈 💛🖤
