The Tumbleweed Music Festival is delighted to share the names and song titles of the ten finalists in this year’s Jane Titland Memorial Songwriting contest. Their songs are based on this year’s festival theme, “Tumbleweed – Thirty Years by the River.”

The finalists will perform their songs on Saturday afternoon of the festival (Saturday, September 5th) before an audience and a panel of judges. The audience will vote on a performance to be “People’s Choice," while the judges will determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. These will be announced on Saturday evening between the first and second headliner performances in the Tumbleweed benefit concert (and their prize checks will be awarded!), followed by the 1st-place finisher performing their winning song live from the stage.

Heidi and Bob ALWAYS deliver a great show!

Come enjoy an evening of music, with food and fun in The Green Room at the Princess Theatre on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Doors will open at 6:30 PM, music from 7 to 9 PM.

Heidi Muller is an award-winning songwriter, singer, guitarist, and mountain dulcimer player. In over 30 years of performing, she has played in concert halls, festivals, and living rooms throughout America and produced nine CDs that have established her firmly in the national folk community. Heidi has headlined the Kerrville Folk Festival, Tumbleweed Music Festival, Northwest Folklife, Kentucky Music Week, South Florida Folk Festival, and many more.

Heidi tours with her partner, Bob Webb, from their home in Joseph, Oregon. They have released four CDs together: Up Hurricane Creek, Dulcimer Moon, Light the Winter’s Dark, and Seeing Things. Bob is a talented accompanist on guitar, mandolin, dulcimer and cello and was a member of the original Mountain Stage house band of NPR fame. He is also a recording engineer.

Paninis, charcuterie, and snacks, local wines, beers, hard ciders, and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
