🎲 GAME DAY WITH ALDERMAN MATT QUICK! 🎲

Tuesday's Game Day brought a special visit from The City of Richland MS's Alderman Matt Quick, who stopped by to visit with our seniors and treat everyone to some delicious Halloween-themed cupcakes and cake!

But Matt had another surprise up his sleeve! 🎲 He introduced our crew to Left Center Right (LCR), a fun dice game that quickly had everyone laughing and ready for another round! After playing two rounds together, we can certainly see why it is one of Matt's family favorites during holidays and get-togethers!

🏆 Congratulations to Charlotte and Linda, our LCR winners, who each took home a wonderful gift basket courtesy of Matt!

A big THANK YOU to Alderman Matt Quick for spending part of his Tuesday with us, bringing the sweet treats and prizes, and introducing our seniors to a new game! And who knows? You just might see LCR make an appearance at an upcoming holiday celebration! 🦃

Come see us and the many local businesses and churches joining in the festivities for an evening of family-friendly fun!

The Richland Senior Center is excited to bring a fun game for children throughout Richland and our surrounding communities at this year's Kids Zone! A big THANK YOU to our seniors who are volunteering to help make the evening special!

What a SPOOKTACULAR afternoon at the Richland Senior Center! We welcomed Rose Wooten, Renee Jones, and Grayson Seghini from the Rankin County Chamber as our Halloween Bingo sponsors this month!

Our seniors enjoyed a fun afternoon of Bingo, Halloween-themed cupcakes, and some crunchy Witches' Nails (Bugles!). A big THANK YOU to everyone who dressed up and joined in the Halloween fun!

🏋️ SENIORCISE – BUILDING STRENGTH & BALANCE! 💪

Wednesday's SeniorCise welcomed Blake from Elite Physical Therapy – Richland for another great workout! Each month, we continue building on exercises we have learned, adding new movements to improve strength, flexibility, and balance.

Our workouts are adaptable to all fitness levels, whether using weights, resistance bands, or exercise balls. This week, we expanded our routine to further strengthen our core, improve stability, and build better balance!

🍎 Our Healthy Living topic focused on properly cooling down after exercise and how gradually slowing our movements helps our bodies transition into recovery.

👂 BELTONE IS BACK FOR ROUND TWO! 👂

Sheri and Jackson with Beltone were back at The Richland Senior Center for day two of hearing tests! Jackson had his trusty “toolbox” in tow once again, making sure our seniors had everything needed for their hearing tests!
We always welcome the opportunity to bring specialists to our Center to provide valuable services, information, and resources to our seniors.

Sheri and Jackson will return on Tuesday, October 27, for their final day of complimentary hearing tests this year!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and October 13 was Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, recognizing those living with Stage IV breast cancer and the continued need for research, better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
