Every month we will be partnering with Adventures Underground to bring out five board games to demo
Our five games for March will be Tsuro of the Seas, Unearth, C**t Express, Mysterium, Dixit
Tsuro: In its simplest form, Tsuro is a curious "last man standing" version of Labyrinth, but the board is empty to begin. The 6x6 grid has a pair of paths leading off from every edge tile; players pick any one of the 48 starting paths and place their piece on it. To begin, each player draws 3 path tiles. Each tile features a twisting variety of paths - some curve to another edge of the tile, some go straight, and some cross between
Unearth: Unearth is a bend-your-luck game of dice placement and set collection. Designed by Jason Harner and Matthew Ransom, it plays in under an hour with 2-4 players. Each player leads a tribe of Delvers, represented by five dice (3 six-sided, 1 four-sided, and 1 eight-sided). Players take turns rolling and placing dice in an attempt to claim Ruins
Mysterium: one player takes the role of ghost while everyone else represents a medium. To solve the crime, the ghost must first recall (with the aid of the mediums) all of the suspects present on the night of the murder. A number of suspect, location and murder weapon cards are placed on the table, and the ghost randomly assigns one of each of these in secret to a medium.
C**t Express: I n C**t Express, you play a bandit robbing a train at the same time as other bandits, and your goal is to become the richest outlaw of the Old West. The game consists of five rounds, and each round has two phases:
Phase 1: Schemin'
Phase 2: Stealin'
Dixit: Dixit is an enchanting game which summons your imagination. Discover 84 dreamlike illustrations on big cards and interpret them. A storyteller chooses one card of its hand of cards and proposes an accurate theme.
