Weekly Word: Haudenosaunee, the name the people of the Long House give themselves. Some call them the Iroquois. Various tribes of Iroquois, mostly Seneca and Cayuga (sometimes called Mingo), had villages or were in the Cuyahoga Valley in the late 1700s. The historical interpreters of Ohio Living History Society will portray people from the Manor's past. You are invited to Mingle with the Spirits of Farnam Manor! Lantern Tours and Trail to the Unknown opens Sept. 19 and continues on the weekends through Nov. 1. Proceeds benefit the preservation of the Farnam Estate.
If this isn’t proof that even the most deteriorated historic buildings can be brought back then we don’t know what it is. Charleston Hardware Co shared a pair of striking before and after photos showing the historic Admiral’s House, also known as Quarters A, in Charleston in a state of disrepair and fully restored. The house was built in 1905 to house Admirals in the Navy. It’s the second oldest building on the Navy Shipyard and one of the grandest.

Unbelievable but true.
The new management took out the beautiful architecturally & historically correct, true divided lite windows with the antique wavy glass and put them in the dumpster. Replaced them with double pane, fake muntin bar windows. The windows were one of the most beautiful things about the house. This totally devalues the place.
It's an ever changing world.

Hey all!
In addition to the guided meditation that "opened" the drum circle Wednesday, I recorded another in the midst of the music.
It's a short (6 minute) guided meditation that you might use to start your day. What's better, if you were there you likely participated in making the meditation!
I don't see an event for it yet, but I will be there this Wednesday guiding a meditation from 7:30-8PM.
If you've been having strong emotions, feelings of overwhelm, or just want to reconnect with yourself, together we'll hold a beautiful space to explore those feelings and allow that reconnection to happen.
Please pardon me cancelling two Wednesdays ago as I was rather suddenly re-struck by the "sick" bug after I thought I had recovered.
Looking forward to meeting you and holding space with you! ❤️
Sorry for the delayed post! Full moon drum circle 7-17-2019 with the brilliant Mandii Schlumberger spinning FIRE!
