Happy New Year! As we roll into 2026, it leaves some time for reflection. We are wrapping up another great season and just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out this year and enjoyed the lights. It wasn’t without some hiccups, but we persevered and overcame. I will be running the lights for 3 more nights, with Saturday night being the final show. Hope all of you have a wonderful 2026.

*IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*

In light of our recent FM frequency issues with someone in the area, we have decided to leave the days of FM radio behind and get with modern technology. Now, when you come to see the show, you can download an app called PulseMesh - it is avaliable on the Android and Apple app stores, free of charge. Once you have it, our show will appear on the front page - just click on it to start listening - it's really that easy. I will link it in the post but please share this with everyone you know so we can get maximum visibility. I will be making informational signs with QR codes, but don't know when they will be ready. And I will still be broadcasting on the old FM frequency - it'll either be 91.5 or 92.1 just incase someone doesn't have the message.

Just as an update- yesterday was good, but today around 7:45 someone in the neighborhood switched their powerful (unlicensed) FM transmitter back on (and the worst thing is they are playing the most god-awful song by AC/DC. Plenty of better ones out there) so needless to say, I’m operating on multiple frequencies tonight. If one isn’t working, try the other. This may be how we work it until the end of the season.

*Important News*

Unfortunately, there is someone out there who really does not like our light show. It came to a head today when we discovered that someone had hijacked our music by using a powerful (unlicensed) FM transmitter to override our small one. We attempted to switch to another station and even changed the signs, but it was discovered and the pirate FM broadcast was switched to the new station, rendering ours unusable.

I am keeping detailed notes on the specific FM frequencies and times this pirate broadcast is on the air and will be filing a report with the FCC. I’ve heard the fines for operating an unlicensed pirate broadcast are pretty hefty, I hope this person has deep pockets.

In light of this, we will not stop. Please, come out and enjoy the lights. We will now be running the show every night until 10pm. And you can still listen to our music. We will be broadcasting on either 91.5 or 92.1 FM. Tune to one or the other. If you hear weird music that doesn’t fit, then it’s not us. We will constantly be switching back and forth to try and stay ahead of this situation.

And we are also in the market to go a little higher tech, for sure next season and hopefully the end of this season too by syncing our music to an app that can easily be downloaded by all Android and Apple users. And the best part is, we won’t have to worry about anyone overriding the broadcast on the app. So stay tuned for more info on that soon.

As always, we appreciate all the kind words and everyone out there in Christmas land who enjoys our show and has made it a part of your family’s Christmas tradition. That’s what makes it all worth it.

Oogie Boogie has been chilling here since Halloween, he sent Oogie’s boys to look for Sandy Claws… in the event they don’t find him we need YOU! Come out and see this years light show… we have been working hard and will have it up and running by Black Friday. Can’t wait to see you all out there…
