STEAMcraft The STEAMcraft sisters make neat products by combining Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math! Hi, this is Keira from STEAMcraft!

My younger sister and I are teenagers who love STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) as well as arts and crafts. We put it all together to come up with our name, STEAMcraft. We started this little business doing craft shows in 2021. Instead of working a typical high school job I get to make my own hours and still be able to focus on extracurriculars and volunteering. The bonus is that I get to spread our love of STEM while earning some extra spending money. My sister and I are both on our high school robotics team, our favorite extracurricular activity. We both play on multiple sports teams and are active in many other clubs. I also do a lot of volunteering in STEM, as a robotics mentor for elementary and middle schools, as well as a tutor for high school algebra and chemistry.

Extra, extra! In April, Sophia was recognized as an honoree at the YWCA Bucks County 33rd Annual Salute to Women Who Make a Difference Gala. She received the GirlPower teen award for her volunteering, entrepreneurship, and leadership in STEM. YWCA Bucks County focuses on empowering women and eliminating racism. The gala is a fundraising event for programs that provide services to youth, women and families. In addition to the award, Sophia received an American flag flown in her honor over the United States Capitol Building from her U.S. Congressman, and formal citations from the PA House of Representatives and the PA Senate. Congratulations, Sophia!

Sharing the 3D printed swag that Sophia made for the Bensalem Junior Robotics FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams this past school year. She enjoyed the challenge of putting a bunch of elements together to create a robotic owl head trophy, and a photo frame/plaque with actual spinning cogs. Sophia is also a student mentor for three Bensalem elementary school robotics teams. Go Bensalem Jr Robotics!

BHS graduation is around the corner, so now is the time to order one of our personalized 3D-printed owl statues! They make a perfect gift for graduating seniors, and future/former graduates of BHS too! Order here: https://forms.gle/TrJhQo9ZsXZGbeft6

$20 each with student name and class year. Order ASAP to guarantee that it's ready by graduation, as each owl takes 10 hours to print. We can also change "BHS" to "Snyder," since Snyder students are also owls! Temple and Rowan University grads - we can print red and gold owls too!

We also have Bensalem "B" and owl keychains, earrings & croc charms, plus chunky keychains for every BTSD school and BHS clubs/team.

FYI, we're two Bensalem High School sisters (well, one is now in college). Check out our website with online forms to order for porch pickup. https://steamcraftdesigns.com Email us at [email protected] or Facebook message us with any questions! Big congrats to all graduating seniors!

This past weekend Sophia was able to use her business to give back to something near and dear to her, FIRST Robotics. She donated a few dozen 3D-printed fidget toys for the Sensory Room at a FIRST LEGO League elementary robotics competition where she was volunteering as a mentor.

Six years ago Sophia entered the world of robotics as a 5th grader at an event just like this, and now she's the robot driver and a programmer for her high school robotics team. "Gracious professionalism" is a key element of FIRST Robotics, and she was happy to graciously donate toys for kids to play with in the Sensory Room who need a respite from the fun but chaotic and noisy environment that a robotics competition is.
