The Core Theatre had an actor drop, looking for a 20's to 30's Female Actor. Original play called Ruby Tuesday by Mike Byham. The show runs June 26– July 19 Friday, Saturday 8pm and Sunday 3pm. Rehearsals start June 1st and are generally Sunday through Thursday 7-9:30. The play is already broken into French scenes, so not called every night. “Every Night Live” is a brand new sketch comedy show bringing fast-moving bits, bold characters, and a little bit of chaos to the stage. Built in the spirit of classic live sketch shows, it’s a collection of short, high-energy scenes that shift quickly from one idea to the next—keeping the audience on their toes the entire time! Written and directed by The Core Theatre‘s very own Managing Artistic Director, James Hansen Prince, this original production runs from May 8th to the 31st—come ready to laugh and stay for whatever happens next!

🖼️ Meet some of the faces behind the mischief!🪞

We couldn’t be more excited to introduce some of the brilliant artists bringing “Charley’s Aunt” to life! From beloved Core Theatre regulars to new collaborators joining the party, this group is already full of personality, talent, and just the right amount of chaos.

If you’re not familiar with Charley’s Aunt, here’s the premise: two university friends are desperate for a proper chaperone so they can spend time with the women they love… but when the expected aunt fails to arrive, a very convincing (and very reluctant) substitute steps in. What follows is a whirlwind of disguises, mistaken identities, unexpected romances, and enough ridiculous situations to keep everyone on their toes!

Our production transports this classic comedy to 1920s Dallas and the halls of SMU, where high society expectations collide with fast-talking schemes, quick changes, and a whole lot of laughter. 💙❤️🐴

In this classic farce, two young men convince their friend to impersonate Charley’s wealthy aunt so they can spend time with the women they love — but when unexpected guests arrive and identities begin to blur, the situation spins wildly out of control. Our production, directed by James Hansen Prince, reimagines this beloved comedy in 1920s Dallas at SMU, where jazz-age charm, flapper flair, and campus mischief collide in a whirlwind of mistaken identities and outrageous schemes. Fast-paced, energetic, and delightfully absurd, Charley’s Aunt is the kind of comedy that will have you laughing, gasping, and maybe even knee-slapping along with the chaos.

To Kill a Mockingbird will stand as a defining chapter in the history of The Core Theatre. The American classic that opened our 2026 season became something far greater than a production. To Kill a Mockingbird sold out our house show after show because even 66 years later, this necessary story still challenges us with urgent questions, and calls us to empathy.

This achievement belongs to the extraordinary artists behind it. Our actors, creative team, and crew approached this work with care, integrity, and unwavering commitment, bringing depth and humanity to every moment onstage and beyond it.
