Raj Sharma spent many of his early days in comedy at Backdoor and he quickly became a regular. One time, the Observer called and said they were coming by, and they wanted to see some comics for a last minute story. We called Raj and a few others to come out to maybe get a mention. That night we had a birthday party and the family wanted someone to semi roast the birthday person. Raj had never done it before, but he said he would try it. And as soon as he started, you saw the twinkle in his eye, you saw the light bulb go off, you felt it click, talking to the crowd was match made in heaven. He was the star of the show, and when he got off stage, he was smiling ear to ear and said, “That was fun!”

Raj became a crowd favorite at Backdoor! He was part of our Backdoor family. We will miss you, Raj Sharma, thank you for all the laughs, rest in peace , dear friend!
