Hi! My name is Megan Nephew and I am the new Director for the Just For Kix program here in Rice!
I moved to Rice in January, and I am originally from Crosby, MN! My passion for dance started when I joined JFK in Kindergarten. In high school, I was a member and captian of the Crosby-Ironton Rangerettes Dance Team where we advanced to the state tournament my sophomore, junior and senior years. We placed 3rd in kick in 2015! In college, I was a member of the St. Cloud State University Dance Team. In 2020, we won a national championship at the UDA College National Championship in Orlando, Florida!
I have a coaching background spanning 4 years with Crosby-Ironton. I coached the JV team my first 2 seasons and the Varsity team the following 2 seasons. We advanced to the state tournament both years I was coaching Varsity!
I danced for SCSU for 2 years which overlapped coaching Crosby-Ironton. I am very passionate about dance! I was awarded "Most Dedicated" on both my high school and college teams!
Along with dance- I also enjoy all things outdoors! I grew up hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and camping with my family. I have a passion for photography too! I love spending time with family and friends as well. I also spent 4 years as a summer nanny to the same three kids and had so much fun doing so! I have always loved kids!
Dance has always been such a huge part of my life. I cannot wait to get started with Just For Kix in Rice and share my passion with others! π
