WHAT. AN. OPEN. HOUSE. 🤩

Thank you to EVERYONE who came out for Open House 2026! We had two absolutely AMAZING nights welcoming new families, catching up with familiar face, fitting lots of dance shoes, trying out Acro, shopping CDC gear, and getting SO excited for Season 19! 🩵

The energy in the studio was incredible, and now we are officially counting down the DAYS until we get to fill these classrooms with dancers again!

Did you know CDC is an Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio?!

We LOVE acro around here … but probably not just for the reason you think.

Yes, learning new tricks is pretty exciting. But the strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and body control our students develop along the way?

THAT is the really good stuff 👌

Quality acro training is about so much more than getting the next trick. Through the Acrobatic Arts program, our students work progressively ... developing the strength, flexibility and technique they need before advancing to more difficult skills.

And those benefits go WAY beyond Acro class.

Stronger dancers = stronger athletes.

Whether they’re dancing, playing hockey, football, soccer or another sport ... strength, coordination, balance and body awareness matters SO much.

We also love giving our students different ways to incorporate acro into their training! We offer several Acro class options for ALL ages …. Including Acro Hop, Acro Jazz, and Acto Strength!

Acro Strength is one of our favorites for anyone who simply wants to GET STRONG.
- No recital dance.
- No choreography.
- No costume.
- Just training.

It’s designed as an add-on class focused on strength, stability + conditioning — because sometimes the next step toward getting better at a skill isn’t practicing it 1000 more times…. Sometimes, you just need to get stronger.

Choreo Week 2026 was so fun! We can’t wait for our BEST year yet 🎉🩷 Who’s excited to see our new competition dances take shape?!

The best part? They think they’re just having fun ... But while they’re dancing, laughing and making new friends, there’s SO. MUCH. MORE happening.

✨They’re learning to listen and follow directions.

✨They’re building coordination, balance and body awareness.

✨They’re practicing patience, teamwork and independence.

✨ They’re learning to try something new ... even when they’re not sure they can do it yet.

✨ They’re moving their bodies, using their imaginations, building confidence and discovering what they’re capable of.

Cough cough ... life skills.👌

And yes ... they’re having a whole lot of fun while they do it.

Dance class is about so much more than learning to dance.

Turns out, a dance class can do a whole lot more than teach them how to dance. 🤍
