The Robinson Family Light Show

The Robinson Family Light Show Creating unique lighting experiences on stage and outdoors. Thanks for being part of the journey—this community is why we do it. 💛🎄

What began in 2020 as a little neighborhood light show on the Robinson family home has grown into one of Rexburg’s favorite Christmas traditions. We started with a few pixels, a lot of heart, and a dream to bring joy to our community during a tough year—then things took off! Since then, the show has traveled through some of Rexburg’s most iconic locations: from our home, to the historic Rexburg Ta

bernacle, to the wide-open magic of Porter Park… and now, we’re lighting up Rexburg Rapids with our biggest production ever. Every year, our goal stays the same: create a place where families can laugh, feel the Christmas spirit, and make memories together.

Besides a handful of fireworks that didn’t go off last night, the show turned out great! There was definitely a bit of a learning curve with the new controllers, but it was awesome having the entire show fully automated. I think we will make it quite a bit bigger next year! Here’s a little clip from the night!

The Teton Dam broke at 11:57 a.m. on June 5, 1976. Wilford by 12:30. Sugar City by 1:30. Rexburg by 2:30.

We are grateful that we were able to help the City of Rexburg bring this particular exhibit to life. A wall of five-gallon buckets lit up to show the water moving through the valley town by town. The same buckets people used to dig out afterward. We created 3 different displays on the buckets so far, hoping to get three more done next week. Want to see some of the others?

Museum opens next week, and it's worth bringing the whole family! Rexburg Arts Rick Robinson - Broker, Real Estate Two70 Flood 50

Onto the next project now! I'm helping with a special project for this summer's Singin' in the Rain performance at the Romance Theatre. Here is a preview of the back-end so far. If I can get this to work the way I'm hoping, it's going to be AWESOME!!!! Any guesses on what I'm doing?

I think I may have slightly misunderstood the assignment to “do something cool with lights”… 😅

What started as a simple idea turned into a full projection mapping project inside the historic Rexburg Tabernacle to help support the fundraising efforts to restore this incredible building.

Totally overboard? Maybe.
Worth it? Absolutely.

Watching the history of the Tabernacle come to life on its own walls was pretty special, and it’s an honor to play even a small part in preserving a place that means so much to our community.

The Austin Organ is nearly 100 years old and still sounds awesome! Join us Monday night at 6:30 for Hymns at the Tabernacle! All are welcome!
