Nature provides solace that can’t be replicated in other places. I paint to capture a bit of that solace and I share those paintings so you can feel it in your favorite indoor places, too.

Want to take your sketchbook outside this summer? (I do!)

Join me tomorrow, Saturday April 11 at 11am MDT for a live sketchbook workshop! I'll walk you through my art-on-the-go setup, share techniques and adjustments for painting outside, and we'll paint together in real time.

I'll also be opening up my real pile of sketchbooks — and there are a lot of them. I'm a big believer in real, messy, used sketchbooks and I'll show you all of mine.

Is this invitation a little last minute? Yes. Am I posting it anyway? Also yes — because I think it will still reach the right people.

Come paint with me live on March 7, 2026. I’m pulling back the curtain on my signature style and inviting you to come paint some layered mountain landscapes with me! The workshop will be held live on zoom through the amazing Kula Academy from with a replay available for 7 days.

I promise I can teach you how to do this even if you haven’t touched a paintbrush since childhood (and if you haven’t, it’s about time you do 🙌 ) It’s going to be so fun and I hope you’ll join me!

Behind the scenes in my studio - messy paint palette edition. Some of the studio palettes I use are just white ceramic plates stolen from my kitchen or thrifted from my local second hand store. Some of them are a little bit fancier, like my gold-edged Tierney Rae palette from 😍

Each of them is a piece of art in and of itself, and that’s what I tell myself each time I grab another plate or covet a new palette instead of just rinsing the ones I already have and starting fresh. Anyone else?
